Anaglypta Restoration

As members of SPAB, IHBC, ICON, holding CSCS Gold Cards and Certified Restorers of high relief papers and ceiling panels, we work to the ethos of the afore; advocating excellence and engagement within the conservation of our cultural heritage, taking into account the building’s fabric, past and future, historical and social significance.

We can be appointed to conduct a site survey, looking into the condition of the historical paper/ ceiling panel to be restored and possible associated issues to the breakdown of the wall coverings integrity. In addition to the costing of the restoration project, advice will be given on necessary remedial work required prior to the restoration.

In support of listed building consent/ planning application for development, we supply documentation as part of a heritage statement detailing the said historical paper/ ceiling panel with a detailed outline to reinstate any sections as a result of works.

Furthermore, we can be commissioned to replicate entire period embossed high relief ceilings, drawing on our library of existing moulds that we possess.

Of particular interest to architects and building managers, is that the materials employed in the restoration process, are covered under British Building Regulations Part B , section B2, any test results that have attained under B-S1-D0, will attain an Equivalent, National Class 0 flame spread classification.

The Materials are all tested to EN 13501-1 :2007+A11:2009.  & have a Classification B-S1-DO, which means that all the Materials can be used on any wall and ceiling surface linings including any communal areas.

Anaglypta, Cameoid, Corticine, Lignomur, Lincrusta-Walton, Salamander, Worley and Tynecastle are examples of historical wall coverings and ceiling panels produced in Britain from 1877 onwards, which we are regularly asked to restore.

Additional facilities offered to include 3D replication, material identification research and analysis undertaken via Lincrusta Heritage at research@lincrustaheritage.co.uk
